The Plug

Coffeeshop The Plug is located on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, just behind Dam Square and officially opened on 12th May 2018. This place was formerly 'Coffeeshop Utopia', but merged with guys from 'The Plug' in Barcelona. This brought a whole new line up to the menu and provides one of the biggest selections from one of the best menu's in town.

Upon entry you have a quite narrow room with seating lined down the right hand side of the wall. The service area is at the back of the shop like before, but with the menu now being provided on a large screen by the counter.

The Plug have a second coffeeshop in Amsterdam-West, after taking over the location of 'Hugo De Groot' which officially opened 18th March 2022 and is a takeaway only coffeeshop.
