Roots

Coffeeshops Roots is located on Hoekenrode, right next to the Johan Cruijff Arena in the Zuid-Oost area. This is one of the latest coffeeshops in the city and the first in this area for a long time after almost 20 years of battling and The Roots officially opened its doors in July 2017.

Inside the coffeeshop you have the service area at the front where you can check out the menu. If you plan on staying you can go through the back into the smoking room. Most parts of the day this place doesn't get too busy, but come match day or when an event is on then this place is packed.

The menu is a decent size with a nice choice available. The prices are also fair which is good to see. You have around a dozen choices for the weed and around 8 to 10 options for hash. This place is owned by the same guys as 't Keteltje so you may see some similarities on the menu.
