DNA

Coffeeshop DNA is located on Achillesstraat in the Zuid (South) of Amsterdam and is a largely residential area. This coffeeshop you may remember was once known as 'Coffeeshop Jabba'. Due to the location this place largely caters for the locals in this area. To reach this area by tram from the city centre you can take the number 24 and reach the coffeeshop in around 20/25 minutes.

As you enter the coffeeshop there it is a quite large open space with the service area on the right. Smoking is not allowed in this area.

The menus are provided on 2 screens on the counter and a nice choice of edibles are also available. A small smoking room is provided with a few tables if you wish to stay and have a smoke. Drinks and snacks are provided in machines to the left of the service area. There is also a glass unit with cannabis related products available for purchase.

Some people believe that DNA is owned by the same guys as Boerejongens/Bij, but this is not the case. They do however have a connection with Amsterdam Genetics who also have a link with numerous coffeeshops in the city.

The menu is a fair size and usually stocks around 12 - 15 strains of weed and around half a dozen types of hash. The quality is very good from here and the prices are fair.
